Purple Sunrise

Neighborhood homes at sunriseI took the above photo at sunrise last week when I got the photo of the MLK sculpture.

I left for Chicago that evening with my youngest. We were in search of a place for her to live. Chicago is an expensive city, but we managed to find her a little studio.

She accepted an offer with Google, and she's moving to Chicago next week! I'm going to miss her. I've been so blessed to have her living with me since June. But, I'm happy for her, and I know she's going to have a great time exploring.

I'm going to get out again for some more sunrise shots this week. I need fresh Atlanta photos for my website.

The houses in the above photo caught my eye as I was walking home. I loved the way the sun was hitting the wood, reflecting back the colors of the sky. It was so orange. This shot was captured at ISO 400, 1/100 shutter speed, f/8.0 at around 38mm.

I threw it in Photoshop and added a texture over the top.

There are some old homes in my neighborhood. This little one in the foreground was built in 1930. I don't think it's changed a whole lot since then! There's something very appealing about it.

Only a couple of thoughts and one photo for today! Hope you're having a good one!

See you between the raindrops!

xoxo,
Susan
