Capturing the Cartagena Moon

An Atlanta photographer captures the full moon at the beach in Cartagena, ColombiaFull moon at the beach in Cartagena, Colombia

Back to the Blog!

Whew! I can't believe I haven't written a blog post since January 18th - three weeks!

My granddaughter and I arrived back in the States on January 24th and then I took care of her for another week before my son and DIL got back.

I've been so tired since returning to Atlanta. It's taking a bit to fully recover from Covid. I wrote in my blog post on January 18th that I was hoping to be over this in a few days - ha! Little did I know.

I feel like I've had congested sinuses, a rough voice, and fatigue forever at this point. I'm definitely feeling better but just not all the way yet.

Between the fatigue and my computer being out of commission, I've fallen behind. But, the computer is fixed, and I am slowly getting over this illness. I wish I wasn't so tired but, hopefully, that'll resolve in the next week or so.

It was exciting to put in my SD card and download some photos. When I saw this photo of the full moon, I had to edit it right away.

I remember the evening well because I was so excited that the full moon was rising as the sun was setting. That meant there was still enough light in the sky for me to hand-hold my camera without getting a blurry shot.

I loved the colors of the light as it bathed the trees and the tops of the umbrellas.

I loved our ritual of a walk on the beach every evening. It was the perfect way to end the day. A beach walk always makes me feel better almost no matter what's happening.

I loved our trip but it's so good to be back home and sleeping in my own comfortable bed.

I hope things are going well for you:)

See you between the raindrops!

xoxo,
Susan

PS - No Cartagena gallery yet but I hope to have one soon, so keep checking back on the website
