You're beautiful winter, but I'm kinda tired of the cold.

This has been a pretty cold winter for us here in Atlanta. We've had a couple of big snow days.

Today is one of them.

I knew it was supposed to be cold today, but I didn't realize it was supposed to snow. Guess I need to pay a little more attention to the weather.

When I was walking home from the neighborhood meeting last night with one of my neighbors, it was bitter cold.

I was still surprised when I woke up to find a few inches of real snowfall!

Jack Bauer wasn't having it when I opened the door to let him out. I had to coax him out to go to the bathroom. He came in as quickly as he could.

I took my camera a while later and headed out to get some shots. It's beautiful out. But, biting cold. I do okay for a while, but I can't stand how cold my hands get when I'm trying to work my camera. I have fingerless gloves, but my hands were frozen.

I paid a little visit to some friends who live nearby, and we drank hot tea. It was wonderful.

This California girl does not like driving in this weather, and I was so glad I didn't have a job today. But, I have one Friday, so I'm hoping the driving conditions are better.

So this is my snow-day post - short and sweet, because it snowed, and I took a snow day!
