A Painful Day

No real photo blog post today. 

I'm in some pain - nothing life-altering or threatening but it's distracting.

Long story short, I twisted my ankle and fell hard on it yesterday morning. There was a small rock I didn't see and stepped right on it. My foot slid sideways and my ankle rolled and made a terrible popping sound. 

Nothing like flailing around on the sidewalk trying to figure out what the heck just happened! I was only a block from the house and by the time I got back home, the ankle was already swollen.

It was bad enough that I went to urgent care where I spent 3-1/2 hours. 

Thankfully, it's not broken but it is badly sprained, so I'm wearing one of those horrible boots for a few weeks, and the doctor said he wanted me to go to PT.

I'll get back on my feet quickly. 

When I picked up my scrip at the pharmacy the girl said, "Oh well, at least it's a few excused days off work, right?" 

Well...when you work for yourself freelancing it's not that easy.

I'm definitely putting my foot up, icing it, and getting on with things but that's all for today.
